Our Fantastic 5P Assembly

After the assembly was done the class answered questions with thoughtful answers which explored the plot line and character development, they have obviously been learning well in their literacy lessons!

Our two professional PowerPoint creators, both of them spoke with clear loud voices which reached all the people in the hall, well done!

Displaying our work from the previous days Literacy lesson on character development using adjectives and by taking meaning from the book Around the World in 80 Days.

The children researched the flags of the countries Phileas Fogg travelled through on his journey around the world, then made some fabulous replicas to show in assembly.  Some of them even researched the language they spoke!

Two of the children created a fabulous Steam boat called the S.S.Tipton, the design was based on information from the book and their imaginations.

This is where the girls were explaining their work and the type of boat they made.

This is a steam train two of the children made to show one of the forms of transport used to travel around the world.  They decorated this fantastically with collage.

Five of the children chose a scene from the book, decided the characters they needed, wrote a script, dressed up and acted their scene at the end of the assembly.  They all had fantastic acting abilities!
